Young doctors’ strike enters 6th day

(eNews.pk) - LAHORE: The outpatient departments (OPDS) of public hospitals in the provincial metropolis, literally, keep patients out of hospitals due to the strike of junior doctors, which entered its sixth day Saturday.




The flagrant denial of health services to the masses in the hot weather and the worst of history's energy crisis forced people to visit private clinics and even healers. People, as in the past, cursed the young doctors and the Punjab Government for failing to rein in the increasingly rebellious youth of the medical fraternity.
The strike has caused immense difficulties for patients and their carers who come in thousands visit daily in hospitals across the province.

لاہور… پنجاب ميں ينگ ڈاکٹرزکي ہڑتال چھٹے روز بھي جاري ہے جس سے دور دراز سے آنے والے مريضوں کو مشکلات کا سامنا ہے. لاہور، ملتان ،بہاول پور،فيصل آباد اور گوجرانولہ ميں ينگ ڈاکٹرز کي ہڑتال چھٹے روز ميں داخل ہوگئي ہے. ڈاکٹروں کي ہڑتال سے مريض اور ان کے لواحقين شديد پريشان ہيں. مريضوں کا کہنا ہے کہ انتظاميہ اور پنجاب حکومت ڈاکٹروں کي ہڑتاليں ختم کرائے تاکہ غريب عوام کو کسي رکاوٹ کے بغير صحت کي سہولتيں ميسر آسکيں. دوسري طرف ڈاکٹرز کا کہنا ہے کہ پنجاب حکومت جب تک ان کے مطالبات منظور نہيں کرتي ہڑتال جاري رہے گي.
