Why domestic users to suffer: Chief Justice

(eNews.pk) - ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Thursday said that the reason why domestic consumers suffer as a result of gas losses.




A three-judge bench comprising Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, Justice Jawwad S. Khawaja and Justice Khilji Arif Hussain, was the question of the implementation of the recommendations contained in retired justice Rana Bhagwandas report, which had served as Judge of the apex Court.
In the course of the hearing, the Supreme Court, the Secretary Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources to submit until 24 October relevant documents about natural gas consumer price break up and LPG break, along with some acceptable formula in Pakistan, to walk justify petroleum and gas prices.
The bench in its order directed the authorities concerned to the link between the prices of CNG and petroleum price ratio with components, decision of the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) which the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) and the ministry of petroleum explain to raise prices on a weekly basis.

اسلام آباد …سپریم کورٹ نے پٹرول اور سی این جی کی قیمتوں میں اضافے اوران کی قیمتوں کے تعین کے فارمولے سمیت سی این جی کی قیمتوں کوپٹرول کی قیمتوں سے منسلک کرنے، گیس سپلائی کرنیوالی کمپنیوں اورحکومت کے درمیان تمام معاہدوں کی تفصیلات سیکرٹری پٹرولیم اورچیئرمین اوگراسے طلب کرلی ہیں۔ چیف جسٹس افتخار محمد چودھری کی سربراہی میں تین رکنی بنچ نے پٹرولیم مصنوعات کی قیمتوں کے تعین سے متعلق جسٹس رانابھگوان داس کمیشن کی رپورٹ اورمسلم لیگ ن کے اقبال ظفرجھگڑا کی آئینی درخواستوں کی سماعت کی۔دوران سماعت چیف جسٹس نے کہاکہ بھگوان داس کمیشن رپورٹ کے مطابق سی این جی کی قیمت 17 روپیہ فی کلو ہونی چاہیے،یہ قیمت اب 100 روپیہ تک ہے۔ سیکریٹری پٹرولیم نے بتایاکہ اس کمیشن رپورٹ پر عمل درآمدکیلیے حکومت کی طر ف سے حکم نہیں ملا۔ چیف جسٹس نے ریمارکس دیے کہ لائن لاسزکمپنیاں کرتی ہیں ، اس کابوجھ عام صارف پرکیسے ڈال دیاجاتاہے، اس کے گھر میں توایک چولہاہوتاہے اوراس پربھی کبھی کبھی روٹی پکتی ہے۔ کیس کی مزیدسماعت 24 اکتوبر کوکی جائیگی۔
