Why court’s orders not being implemented: CJ

(eNews.pk) - ISLAMABAD: Pakistan's Supreme Court resumed hearing of the case of rental power plant where Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry questioned why the court orders are not being implemented, Geo news reported Thursday.




A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice takes the case today.
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) officials, including the president appear in court today to answer on orders to arrest the prime minister and 15 others on charges of corruption in 2010.
During the hearing, the Chief Justice said the court had ordered to submit the challan and arrest the accused. He noted that the defendants are people who think above the law and no one is above the law.
The CJ questioned why the investigation of this matter is not yet complete when the NAB had orders from March 30, 2012. He noted that the decision of the case rental power is based on formal credentials.
It should be mentioned that the Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry had ordered all accused of corruption in power generation projects and be arrested by the NAB chairman to report to the court.

اسلام آباد…چیف جسٹس آف پاکستان جسٹس افتخار محمد چوہدری نے رینٹل پاور کیس کی سماعت کے دوران کہا ہے کہ راجہ پرویز اشرف سمیت تمام ملزمان کی گرفتاری کا حکم دیا تھا،عدالتی فیصلے پر عملدرآمد کیوں نہیں ہو رہا۔ چیف جسٹس آف پاکستان نے کہا کہ 15 جنوری کو کہا تھا کہ ملزمان کے چالان داخل کر کے انہیں گرفتار کیا جائے۔ چیف جسٹس افتخار محمد چوہدری کی سربراہی میں تین رکنی بنچ کیس کی سماعت کررہا ہے۔چیف جسٹس نے سماعت کے دوران ریمارکس دیے کہ رینٹل پاور کیس میں ایسے لوگ بھی ہیں جو خود کو قانون سے بالاتر سمجھتے ہیں،ہم ایک بات جانتے ہیں کہ کوئی بھی قانون سے بالاتر نہیں۔ چیف جسٹس نے استفسار کیا کہ 30مارچ 2012 کوفیصلہ نیب کی میز پر تھا، تفتیش ابھی تک مکمل کیوں نہیں ہوئی۔ چیف جسٹس آف پاکستان نے کہا کہ رینٹل پاور کیس کا فیصلہ سرکاری دستاویزات پر مبنی ہے۔گذشتہ سپریم کورٹ نے پانی و بجلی کے سابق وزیر اور موجودہ وزیراعظم راجہ پرویز اشرف سمیت 19 ملزمان کی گرفتاری کا حکم دیتے ہوئے آج رپورٹ طلب کی تھی۔
