SC removed court contempt notice against PM

(eNews.pk) - ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan (SC) has discharged the contempt notice against Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf on the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) implementation case Wednesday, Geo news.




A five-member bench headed by Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali and Justice Khilji Arif Hussain composed, Justice Asif Saeed Khosa, Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan and Justice Ijaz Ahmed Chaudhry resumed the hearing of the contempt case against Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf for defying SC orders in NRO implementation case.
During today's meeting, the Federal Justice Minister Farooq Hamid Naek appeared in court and inform the bank about the letter to the Swiss authorities, the NRO retraction letter written in 2006.
Presented sending and receiving receipts letter to the Swiss authorities and told the court that they had received the letter of 9 November.
The court then withdrew the contempt proceedings against the prime minister, in which Justice Minister thanked the bench.
The Pakistani Embassy in Bern, Switzerland, has passed on the letter to the Swiss Federal Office of Justice (FOJ).








وزیراعظم کے خلاف توہین عدالت کا نوٹس خارج


اسلام آباد…سپریم کورٹ نے این آر او عمل درآمد کیس میں سوئس حکام کو خط لکھنے پر وزیراعظم کے خلاف توہین عدالت کا نوٹس خارج کر کے کارروائی ختم کر دی۔وزیرقانون عدالت عظمی کا شکریہ ادا کیا۔این آراو عمل درآمد کیس کے سلسلے میں وزیراعظم توہین عدالت کیس کی سماعت سپریم کورٹ میں جسٹس انورظہیر جمالی کی سربراہی میں پانچ رکنی بنچ نے کی۔ وزیر قانون فاروق ایچ نائیک عدالت میں پیش ہوئے اور بتایا کہ عدالتی حکم کے مطابق سوئس حکام کو خط بھجوا دیا گیا ہے۔متعلقہ دستاویزات جینوا میں پاکستان کے سفیر کو بھی بھجوا ئی گئیں،9نو مبر کو خط سوئس حکام کو موصول ہو گیا۔ وزیر قانون نے اِس موقع پر خط سے متعلق دستاویزات سپریم کورٹ میں پیش کیں اور کہا کہ عدالتی حکم پر اس کی روح کے مطابق عمل درآمد کر دیا ہے۔اب وزیراعظم کے خلاف توہین عدالت کا نوٹس ڈسچارج کیا جائے اوراُن کے خلاف عدالتی کارروائی ختم کی جائے۔سپریم کورٹ نے اپنے آرڈر میں کہا کہ بظاہر این آر او فیصلے کے پیراگراف 178پر عمل درآمد ہو گیا ہے لہٰذا وزیراعظم کے خلاف توہین عدالت کا نوٹس خارج کیا جاتا ہے۔وزیر قانون نے وزیراعظم کے خلاف نوٹس ڈسچارج ہونے پر عدالت کا شکریہ ادا کیا۔
