Ready to setup election any time: ECP secretary

(eNews.pk) - ISLAMABAD: Secretary Election Commission Ishtiaq Ahmed of Khan has said that the ECP was willing to hold general elections at any time and are taking steps to further improve measures, Geo news reported Tuesday.




Speaking to a PAC official Eid Millan, said provincial election commissioners give detailed reports on the electoral arrangements in mid-November during a meeting to be followed by another meeting with law enforcement for a course of action with regard to law and order can be completed.
The ECP secretary also issued directives on the occasion that all arrangements will be finalized in late December for the better conduct of general elections.

اسلام آباد…سیکریٹری الیکشن کمیشن اشتیاق احمد خان نے عام انتخابات کے بہتر انعقاد کیلئے تمام تر انتظامات 31 دسمبر تک مکمل کرنے کی ہدایت کی ہے۔ الیکشن کمیشن سیکرٹریٹ اسلام آباد میں عید ملن پارٹی کے دوران افسران سے بات چیت میں سیکریٹری الیکشن کمیشن اشتیاق احمد خان کا کہنا تھا کہ الیکشن کمیشن کسی بھی وقت انتخابات کرانے کے لئے تیار ہے تاہم انتظامات کو مزید بہتر بنانے کے لئے اقدامات کئے جارہے ہیں،انہوں نے بتایا کہ نومبر کے وسط میں صوبائی الیکشن کمشنرز سے انتخابات کے انتظامات پر تفصیلی بریفنگ لی جائے گی، جس کے بعد قانون نافذ کرنے والے اداروں کے ساتھ بھی اجلاس منعقد کیا جائے گا تاکہ امن و امان کی صورتحال سے متعلق لائحہ عمل کو حتمی شکل دی جاسکے۔
