Rawalpindi suicide attack kills 20, 47 injured

(eNews.pk) - RAWALPINDI: At least 20 people were killed and 47 others injured in a suicide attack on a Moharram procession near an Imambargah here on Wednesday night, Geo news.




The attack, in the area of Rawalpindi Dhok Sayidan, comes hours after two bomb blasts back-to-back - 40 minutes apart - about one Imambargah in Karachi, which killed two people and left 16 others wounds.
Sources quoted witnesses as saying that a suicide bomber entered the procession suddenly Moharram-ul-Haram and detonated explosives strapped to his body.
"Two strangers who do not speak mourners burst into a procession and one of them blew himself up," said the eyewitness.

راولپنڈی. .. .راولپنڈی میں خودکش حملے میں جاں بحق ہونے والوں کی تعداد 20 ہوگئی ہے جبکہ47 زخمی ہیں جن میں سے 3 کی حالت تشویشناک بتائی جاتی ہے۔ڈی سی او راولپنڈی ثاقب ظفرنے تصدیق کرتے ہوئے کہا ہے کہ حملے میں اب تک 20 افراد جاں بحق ہوچکے ہیں ۔ ایم ایس شیر علی کا کہنا ہے کہ 14 زخمیوں کو طبی امداد کے بعد فارغ کردیا گیا ہے جبکہ باقی زخمیوں کو علاج جاری ہے۔جاں بحق ہونے والے 14لاشیں ڈسٹرکٹ ہیڈکوارٹر اسپتال جبکہملٹری اسپتال میں 6 لاشیں منتقل کی گئی ہیں۔
