RAWALPINDI: A number of political leaders have lamented the tragedy Rawalpindi, where a suicide bomber killed at least 20 mourners after he blew himself up in a procession Moharram-ul-Haram, Geo news reported.
Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Altaf Hussain in his post conviction, said terrorists wanted to undermine the foundations of Pakistan.
"These extremists want to destabilize the country. Should be condemned in all forums," he said.
Earlier, condemning the government's incompetence, had said that providing security to the people and act against the enemies of the state was the first duty of the rulers, which leaves no reason to stay at the helm of country.
Prime Ministers of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have also condemned the blast.
