Pak proposes talks with Foreign Ministers of India

(eNews.pk) - NEW YORK: Foreign Minister, Hina Rabbani Khar, asked on Wednesday to meet with his Indian counterpart to ease tensions over the deadly clashes in the disputed region of Kashmir.




Khar said in New York that 10 days of fighting in the unofficial border had "created questions" about relationships, but added that Pakistan was "open" to dialogue between foreign ministers to end the dispute.
Khar spoke as India's military said it had reached an "understanding" with Pakistan to "de-escalate" tensions in Kashmir, which has been the cause of two of the three wars between the neighbors since 1947.
Pakistan says three of its soldiers were killed in three incidents since Jan. 6. India says two of its soldiers were killed, one of them decapitated, in hostilities along the Line of Control (LOC) border in the Himalayan region.

اسلام آباد…پاکستان نے لائن آف کنٹرول پر کشیدگی میں کمی کیلئے بھارت کو وزرائے خارجہ کی سطح پر مذاکرات کی پیشکش کی ہے۔ یہ پیشکش وزیر خارجہ حنا ربانی کھر نے نیویارک میں کونسل آن فارن ریلیشنز سے خطاب کے دوران کی۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ لائن آف کنٹرول پر پچھلے دس روز میں فائرنگ کے واقعات نے سوالات پیدا کردیئے ہیں، تاہم پاکستان بات چیت کیلئے تیار ہے۔ مذاکرات وزرائے خارجہ کی سطح پر ہونے چاہئیں تاکہ متنازع امور حل ہوسکیں اور دونوں ممالک خود سے فائر بندی کا احترام کرنے کا دوبارہ عہد کریں۔ پاک امریکا تعلقات پر حناربانی کھر نے کہا کہ دونوں ممالک کے درمیان خاموش سفارت کاری جاری ہے،افغانستان سے امریکا کا انخلا مثبت ہے لیکن امریکا کو مستحکم افغانستان چھوڑ کر جانا ہوگا۔ وزیر خارجہ کا کہنا تھا کہ امریکا 10برس میں افغانستان کی صورت حال ٹھیک کرنے میں ناکام رہا ہے اور تنہا پاکستان سے صورت حال ٹھیک کرنے کا مطالبہ درست نہیں۔
