Not to support any constitutional amendment: Nisar
(eNews.pk) - ISLAMABAD: Opposition leader Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said on Thursday that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) would not become part of any constitutional amendment, Geo news reported.

Nisar was speaking to the media outside the Parliament House and said that opposition does not want to influence the election schedule but the accountability bill and formation of independent election commission are pivotal to have free and fair elections.

He harshly criticized the government and alleged that it is a hurdle in the process of free and fair elections in the country, therefore, no mandate can be given to the government.

Nisar said that appointment of a sincere and neutral election commissioner is the need of time and this can only happen when the government is sincere. He said that the government should try to appoint a new election commissioner soon as only one-and-a-half month is left for his tenure to end.

He said that there should neither be any confrontation within the institutions nor any deal.

The opposition leader was highly critical of Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani’s statements regarding the army chief and DG ISI, and said that his statements were illogical that insulted the country all over the world.

اسلام آباد… قومي اسمبلي ميں قائد حزب اختلاف چوہدري نثار نے کہا ہے کہ پہلے سے موجود مسودوں کے بارے ميں حتمي فيصلہ ہونے تک ن ليگ کسي آئيني ترميم کا حصہ نہيں بنے گي. پارليمنٹ کے باہر ميڈيا سے گفتگو کرتے ہوئے چوہدري نثار نے کہا کہ اپوزيشن اليکشن شيڈول پر اثرانداز ہونا نہيں چاہتي ليکن احتساب بل اور خود مختار اليکشن کميشن کا قيام ايسے اہم نکات ہيں جن پر اتفاق رائے ضروري ہے. انہوں نے الزام عائد کيا کہ حکومت اداروں کو اپني مرضي سے استعمال کرنا چاہتي ہے، حکومت کا ريکارڈ اچھا نہيں، اسے اب کوئي مينڈيٹ نہيں دے سکتے. چوہدري نثار نے کہا کہ ملک ميں مخلص لوگوں کي کمي نہيں با اعتبار اليکشن کمشنر مل سکتا ہے. ايک سوال کے جواب ميں انہوں نے کہا کہ وزير اعظم نے اگر اپنے ہي بيانات سے انحراف کرنا ہو تو جمہوري راستہ اختيار کريں، وزير اعظم کے بيانات سے عالمي سطح پر پاکستان کي بدنامي ہوئي ، انہوں نے بلاجواز بيانات ديے اور واپس ليے. ايک اور سوال کے جواب ميں انہوں نے کہا کہ پرويز مشرف اور جنرل پاشا کي ملاقات کا وزير اعظم سے پوچھيں، مشرف پنجاب ميں داخل ہو ئے تو قانون کے مطابق کارروائي ہوگي. چوہدري نثار نے کہا کہ اداروں ميں ٹکراو? نہيں ہونا چاہيے، اور نہ ہي مک مکا.
