No officer should follow illegal orders: Asghar Kh

(eNews.pk) - ISLAMABAD: Air Marshal (retired) Asghar Khan Friday said that under no circumstances any military or civil officer follow orders that were illegal, Geo news.




He said he was a living example of what he preached as a young officer and flight RAF had refused to follow orders to attack convoy Pir Pagara back in 1942 during the British colonial government.
"I was only a year into my service. I was just 21. The British authorities ordered me to attack the caravan of Pir Pagara then it crosses as Pir Sahib Hyderabad had declared a revolt against colonial oppression. Understood the orders to I had no reason, "said retired air Marshal.
He said he had to put up with strict disciplinary action later, he faced bravely, but never repented of his disobedience, as it was the right thing to do.

اسلام آباد…اصغر خان کیس کے پٹیشنر ایئر مارشل ریٹائرڈ اصغر خان نے کہا ہے کہ کسی بھی سول یا ملٹری ادارے کے ملازمین کو اپنے افسران کی جانب سے ملنے والا غیر قانونی حکم نہیں ماننا چاہئے۔ وہ صرف 21 برس کی عمر میں جرات کا مظاہرہ کر کے پیر پگاڑا کے قافلے پر حملہ کرنے کا غیر قانونی حکم ماننے سے انکار کر چکے ہیں۔ سپریم کورٹ کے باہر میڈیا سے گفت گو میں ائیر مارشل ریٹائرڈ اصغر خان کاکہناتھاکہ 1942 ء میں ایئر فورس میں ان کی بھرتی کو ایک سال کا عرصہ بھی نہیں ہوا تھا اور ان کی عمر محض 21 برس تھی جب انہیں حکم ملا کہ انگریزوں سے خلاف بغاوت کرنے والے پیر پگاڑا کا ایک قافلہ حیدرآباد کے قریب سے گزر رہا ہے، اس پرحملہ کردیاجائے لیکن انہوں نے ہائی کمان کایہ حکم ماننے سے انکارکردیا تھا۔حکم عدولی پر انہیں انکوائری کا سامنابھی کرناپڑا۔
