NEPRA notifies tariff hike for DISCOs

(eNews.pk) - KARACHI: The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) Sunday notified an increase of Rs1.98 per unit for the month of April 2012 under the monthly adjustment of fuel prices, Geo news reported.




The evaluation of fuel adjustment costs Rs1.98 per unit of April is greater per unit of Rs0.1912 Rs1.7918 per unit for the month of March, therefore, actually, there will be an increase in the bills on Rs0.1912 compared to the same account in March, said notification.
According to the notification, the adjustment referred to above will be applicable to all categories of consumers except consumers vital of all electric distribution companies (discos), except Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC).
The said adjustment will be shown separately in the bill to the consumer on the basis of units consumed and will be recovered in the billing month of November 2012, the notification added.

اسلام آباد … بجلي آئے نہ آئے ، پاورپلانٹس کو فيول ملے نہ ملے عوام کو فيول ايڈجسٹمنٹ دينا ہي پڑے گا، جي ہاں نيپرا نے ماہانہ فيول ايڈجسٹمنٹ کي مد ميں في يونٹ ايک روپے 98 پيسے اضافہ کرديا. نيپرا کے نوٹيفکيشن کے مطابق ماہانہ فيول ايڈجسٹمنٹ کي مد ميں ايک روپے 98 پيسے في يونٹ اضافہ کيا گيا ہے. نوٹي فکيشن کے مطابق فيول ايڈجسٹمنٹ کي مد ميں وصولي اپريل کے مہينے کيلئے ہوگي. نيپرا کے مطابق يہ وصولي نومبر کے بجلي کے بلوں ميں وصول کي جائے گي، اس اضافے کا اطلاق کراچي کے سوا بجلي کي تمام تقسيم کار کمپنيوں کيلئے ہوگا. تاہم لائف لائن صارفين اس اضافے سے مستثني? ہوں گے. نيپرا کے مطابق اضافے کيلئے درخواستوں کي سماعت گزشتہ ماہ ہوئي تھي.
