Lifetime privileges for ex-rulers: SC to hear case

(eNews.pk) - ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan will be a case suo motion pertaining to unprecedented security for former leaders including former prime ministers Raja Pervez Ashraf, Yousuf Raza Gilani and others here on Tuesday.




Attorney General of Pakistan, the Advocate General and IG Sindh police have submitted their replies in response to calls issued by the apex court.
Taking note of media reports about security clearance Raja Pervez Ashraf unprecedented and Yousuf Raza nals on the last day of the government, the Registrar of the Supreme Court had sent a note to Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry.
Benefits and privileges for life and the unprecedented protocol has been approved for the former Interior Minister Rehman Malik, the former Prime Minister Sindh Qaim Ali Shah, Sindh Assembly President, deputy speaker and others.
A five-judge bench of the apex court headed by CJ would be the case.

اسلام آباد…سابق حکمرانوں کی غیرمعمولی سیکیورٹی پر ازخود نوٹس کیس کی سماعت آج سپریم کورٹ میں ہو گی،اٹارنی جنرل، ایڈووکیٹ جنرل، آئی جی سندھ جواب داخل کریں گے،رجسٹرار سپریم کورٹ نے میڈیا رپورٹس کے حوالے سے چیف جسٹس کو ایک نوٹ بھیجا تھا۔ نوٹ میں بتایا گیا کہ سابق وزیر اعظم راجہ پرویز اشرف نے حکومت کے آخری روز اپنی اور یوسف رضا گیلانی کی غیر معمولی سیکیورٹی کا حکم دیا۔ رحمان ملک سمیت تمام سابق وزرائے داخلہ کی لامحدود سیکیورٹی اور مراعات کا نوٹیفکیشن جاری کیا گیا۔ دو نجی بلوں کے ذریعے سندھ کے وزیراعلیٰ ، اسپیکر ، ڈپٹی اسپیکر اور ارکان کے لئے تاحیات مراعات کا اعلان کیا گیا۔ اس معاملے پر از خود نوٹس کی سماعت آج سپریم کورٹ میں ہوگی۔سماعت کے لیے چیف جسٹس کی سربراہی میں 5 رکنی بینچ تشکیل دیا گیا ہے ۔ اٹارنی جنرل پاکستان، ایڈووکیٹ جنرل سندھ اور آئی جی پولیس جواب داخل کریں گے۔
