Kohistan video: killing reports refuted

(eNews.pk) - PESHAWAR: Information Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mian Iftikhar has refuted media reports about killing of four women in Kohistan and termed it baseless, Geo news reported.

Commenting on the incident, Mian Iftikhar said DCO Kohistan has informed him that all the four women are alive.

He said the video of dancing of women and men at a wedding is one week old.

Earlier, there were reports about killing of four women, who were sentenced to death in Kohistan for singing and dancing at a wedding.

Muhamamd Afzal, brother of one of the convicted men, had claimed that four women have been murdered.

Clerics had issued a decree after a mobile phone video emerged of the six enjoying in a remote village in the mountainous district of Kohistan.

It was decided that the men will be killed first, but they have run away.

پشاور … وزير اطلاعات خيبر پختونخوا مياں افتخار حسين نے کہا ہے کہ کوہستان ميں 4 خواتين کو قتل کرنے کي خبر غلط اور بے بنياد ہے، رقص کي ويڈيو ايک ہفتہ پراني ہے. کوہستان ميں شادي کي تقريب ميں رقص کے واقعے پر گفتگو کرتے ہوئے مياں افتخار حسين نے کہا ہے کہ ڈي سي او کوہستان نے بتايا ہے کہ چاروں خواتين زندہ ہيں ، خواتين کے قتل سے متعلق خبريں غلط اور بے بنياد ہيں. وزير اطلاعات خيبر پختونخوا کا کہنا ہے کہ کوہستان ميں شادي کي تقريب ميں لڑکے اور لڑکيوں کے رقص والي ويڈيو ايک ہفتہ پراني ہے.
