Indian HC assures security to Pak cricket team

(eNews.pk) - LAHORE: Indian High Commissioner Sharat Sabharwal on Pakistan has said that security would be provided to understand the Pakistan cricket team during a trip to India, and no one should have any doubt in this regard, Geo news reported Friday.




Speaking to the media after a meeting of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Zaka Ashraf in Lahore, he confirmed that Pak-India matches should be conducted as per the schedule.
Sabharwal said that the game was an important step in improving bilateral relations between the two countries. He also said the PCB and the BCCI for their efforts to restore cricket.
He said he could not comment on the issue of visas Pakistani cricket fans. However, the PCB chairman, said that the Pakistanis, who wanted to go to India, will soon get "good news."

لاہور … بھارتی بورڈ نے مقررہ تاریخوں میں پاک بھارت میچ کرانے کی یقین دہانی کرادی، بھارتی ہائی کمشنر شرت سبھروال کا کہنا ہے کہ پاکستانی شائقین کو ویزوں کا فیصلہ آنے والے وقت میں کریں گے، پاکستان کرکٹ ٹیم کو بھارت میں مکمل سیکیورٹی دی جائے گی، کسی کو سیکیورٹی پر شک نہیں ہونا چاہئے۔ پاکستان میں بھارتی ہائی کمشنر شرت سبھر وال نے لاہور میں چیئرمین پی سی بی ذکاء اشرف سے ملاقات کی۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ کھیل پاکستان اور بھارت کو قریب لانے میں ایک اہم قدم ہے، پاک بھارت بورڈز کا کرکٹ کی بحالی کیلئے کیا گیا کام خوش آئند ہے۔ شرت سبھروال کا کہنا ہے کہ پاکستان کرکٹ ٹیم کوبھارت میں مکمل سیکیورٹی دی جائے گی،پاکستان کرکٹ ٹیم کی سیکیورٹی پر کسی کو شک نہیں ہوناچاہئے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ پاکستانی شائقین کے ویزوں کے بارے میں ابھی کچھ نہیں کہہ سکتا، ویزوں کا فیصلہ آنے والے وقت میں کریں گے۔ چیئرمین پی سی بی کا اس موقع پر کہنا تھا کہ پاکستانی شائقین جو بھارت جانا چاہتے ہیں انہیں خوشخبری سنائیں گے۔
