Gilani files review petition against conviction

(eNews.pk) - ISLAMABAD: Former Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani, the implementation of NRO review petition filed a lawsuit against conviction for contempt, Geo news reported.




April 26, 2012 seven-judge SC bench headed by Justice on Nasirul property until the end of the proceedings in the implementation of NRO Gilani had condemned.
In the meantime, on June 19 last year, headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry three-member bench, NA seat had disqualified him. Gilani did not challenge the conviction, but had contacted the court against disqualification.

اسلام آباد…سابق وزیراعظم یوسف رضا گیلانی نے این آر او عملدرآمد کیس میں توہین عدالت کی سزا کے خلاف نظرثانی درخواست دائر کر دی ۔جسٹس ناصر الملک کی سربراہی میں 7 رکنی لارجر بنچ نے 26 اپریل 2012 کو یوسف رضا گیلانی کو این آر او عملدرآمد کیس میں عدالت کے برخواست ہونے تک کی سزا سنائی تھی اور 19 جون کو چیف جسٹس کی سربراہی میں تین رکنی بنچ نے یوسف رضا گیلانی کو قومی اسمبلی کی رکنیت سے نااہل قرار دے دیا تھا، یوسف رضا گیلانی نے نااہلی کے خلاف سپریم کورٹ سے رجوع کیا تاہم سزا کو چیلنج نہیں کیا تھا، دو روز قبل عدالت نے انہیں سات روز کے اندر سزا کے خلاف نظرثانی درخواست دائر کرنے کی مہلت دی تھی۔چیف جسٹس نے ریمارکس دیئے تھے کہ درخواست دائر ہونے کے بعد ان کی سربراہی میں 7 رکنی لارجر بنچ تشکیل دیا جائے گا۔
