CNG prices will remain till new formula approval

(eNews.pk) - ISLAMABAD: Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority Chairman Tuesday (OGRA) said prices of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) will remain at the current level until the approval of the price formula commodity review by the Supreme Court.




Talking to media persons after a public hearing regarding the pricing of CNG, OGRA chief said the hearing report will be submitted to the apex court on November 1.
"The current prices of CNG will remain in effect until December 31," he said.
He said OGRA is an independent and that the government could only send its recommendations to it.
The report to be submitted to the Standing Committee on November 1 will also consider the cost of running on CNG production, told media men.
He said that the prices of petroleum products will be reviewed monthly, but added that the final decision on the matter has not yet been made​​.

اسلام آباد…چیئرمین اوگرا کا کہنا ہے کہ سی۔این۔جی کی قیمتوں پر عوامی سماعت کی رپورٹ یکم نومبر کو سپریم کورٹ میں پیش کی جائے گی ، موجودہ قیمتیں عدالت سے نئے فارمولے کی منظوری تک نافذ العمل رہیں گی۔ اسلام آباد میں سی۔این۔جی کی قیمتوں کے تعین سے متعلق عوامی سماعت کے بعد چیئرمین اوگرا سعید احمد خان نے میڈیا کوبتایاکہ سی این جی کی موجودہ قیمتیں 31دسمبرتک برقراررہیں گی۔ ان کاکہناتھاکہ اوگرامکمل طور پر خود مختار ادارہ ہے اور حکومت اسے صرف اپنی سفارشات بھجوا سکتی ہے۔یکم نومبر کو سپریم کورٹ میں قیمتوں سے متعلق پیش کی جانیوالی رپورٹ میں سی این جی کی تیاری پراٹھنے والے اخراجات کوبھی مدنظررکھاجائیگا۔ پیٹرولیم قیمتوں کا تعین ماہانہ بنیادوں پر ہوگا تاہم اس حوالے سے ابھی تک کسی قسم کا فیصلہ نہیں کیاگیا۔
