CJ, COAS's Statements are signal to danger: Beg

(eNews.pk) - ISLAMABAD: Former chief army staff Gen (retd) Mirza Aslam Beg warned on Wednesday that the allegations of the army and the Supreme Court herald the great danger (to the country).




"General Kayani statement clearly alert the Parliament to play its direct role in order to avoid roll-back from the political setting," said Gen (retd) Aslam Beg in an exclusive interview on Geo program "Jirga" organized by Saleem Safi.
He said the Pakistan army and the Supreme Court shows a misunderstanding of the dangerous situation. "Everything we did in the last five years will be given to the dust," he warned.
Gen Beg said that General Tikka Khan did not execute a coup and General Kayani will take such a step. "Someone else will have to indulge in this activity. Going through General Kayani statement carefully, as this report is," he added.

اسلام آباد … سابق آرمی چیف جنرل (ر) مرزا اسلم بیگ نے کہا ہے کہ آرمی چیف اور چیف جسٹس کے بیانات بڑے گہرے خطرات کی نشاندہی ہیں، جنرل کیانی کا بیان واضح ہے کہ پارلیمنٹ اپنا فوری کردار ادا کرے ورنہ سیاسی بساط لپٹ جائے گی۔ مرزا اسلم بیگ نے یہ بات جیو نیوز کے پروگرام جرگہ کے اینکر پرسن سلیم صافی سے خصوصی گفتگو کرتے ہوئے کہی۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ چیف جسٹس اور آرمی چیف کے بیانات کے بعد والی صورتحال میں پارلیمنٹ پر ذمہ داری ہے، جنرل کیانی کا بیان واضح ہے پارلیمنٹ کچھ کرے ورنہ سیاسی نظام لپٹ جائے گا۔ ان کا کہنا ہے کہ افواج پاکستان اور سپریم کورٹ کے درمیان بدگمانیاں خطرناک صورتحال ہے، جو کچھ ہم نے 5 سال میں کیا ہے وہ سب ختم ہوجائے گا، آرمی چیف اور چیف جسٹس کے بیانات گہرے خطرات کی نشاندہی کررہے ہیں۔ اسلم بیگ کا مزید کہنا ہے کہ جنرل ٹکانے شب خون نہیں مارا، جنرل کیانی بھی نہیں ماریں گے، کوئی اور ایسا کرے گا، جنرل کیانی کا بیان غور سے پڑھیں، اس میں یہی پیغام ہے، آرمی چیف اور چیف جسٹس کا بیان شکوہ جواب شکوہ نہیں۔
