13 killed, 100 injured in Jaffar train accident

(eNews.pk) - At least 12 people were killed and over 100 injured when the several bogies of the Jaffar Express train derailed near Bolan area of Balochistan. According to detail, the accident occurred after the train's brakes failed as it sped down the side of a mountain and many of the injuries believed to be serious. The injured were shifted to hospitals in Quetta where an emergency has been declared at all hospitals. After the accident, a rescue and relief operation had begun and officials had already arrived on the scene.

بولان کے علاقے آب گم میں جعفر ایکسپریس کا انجن اور متعدد بوگیاں پٹری سے اتر گئیں ، ٹرین ڈرائیور اور اسسٹنٹ سمیت13 افراد جاں بحق ، سو سے زائد زخمی ، پچاس سے زائد زخمیوں کو مچھ کے سول اسپتال منتقل کردیا گیا۔ نومسافر بوگیوں پر مشتمل جعفر ایکسپریس اپنی منزل راولپنڈی کے لئے آج صبح نو بجے کوئٹہ سے روانہ ہوئی تھی،ٹرین کولپور اور مچھ سے ہوتی ہوئی جیسے ہی آب گم کے پہاڑی علاقے میں پہنچی وہاں انجن کے اچانک بریک فیل ہونے کے بعد ٹرین اوورشوٹ ہوگئی جس کےبعد ڈرائیور اسےریلوے ٹریک سے کیچ سلپ سائڈنگ پر لےگیا۔ حادثے کے بعد ریلوے کی ریسکیو ٹیموں اور ایمبولینسوں کےعلاوہ لیویز اور ایف سی اہلکار حادثہ کی جگہ پہنچ گئے،اور ریسکیو کا کام شروع کردیاگیا جبکہ زخمیوں کو مچھ اور کوئٹہ منتقل کردیاگیا جہاں بیشتر زخمیوں کی حالت تشویشناک بتائی جاتی ہے۔
