Resign before talks, Imran tells PML-N

(eNews.pk) - ISLAMABAD: PTI Chairman Imran Khan said Tuesday that the government should hold general elections immediately. “The solution to the present crisis is free and transparent general elections,” Khan said.




Talking to mediamen here on Tuesday, Imran Khan said that the PTI did not consider Yousuf Raza Gilani as the Prime Minister of Pakistan following his conviction in the contempt of court case.
The PTI chairman also announced a march in Islamabad on May 6 to show solidarity with the judiciary and if the Prime Minister failed to implement Supreme Court orders a protest march would also be held.
Khan also criticised the PML-N, claiming that they had backtracked from their earlier commitments. “If you want us to join your movement, you should first resign from the assemblies,” Khan said in reference to the PML-N.
On Monday, PML-N President Nawaz Sharif while announcing his party’s protest movement against the government said he was willing to join hands with the PTI and other opposition parties.

اسلام آباد … پاکستان تحريک انصاف کے سربراہ عمران خان کا کہنا ہے کہ اے پي ڈي ايم ميں ن ليگ نے تمام جماعتوں کو دھوکا ديا، ان کي ساکھ بڑي کمزور ہے، مسلم ليگ ن پہلے اسمبليوں سے استعفي? دے پھر بات ہوگي، يوسف رضا گيلاني کو وزيراعظم نہيں مانتے، موجودہ صورتحال کا حل فوري عام انتخابات ہيں. اسلام آباد ميں پريس کانفرنس سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے عمران خان نے کہا ہے کہ وفاقي وزير داخلہ رحمان ملک نے ن ليگ کي کرپشن سے متعلق مواد ميڈيا کے سامنے پيش کيا، کرپشن سے متعلق ن ليگ اور پيپلز پارٹي ميں مک مکا ہوا ہے، مسلم ليگ ن اور پيپلز پارٹي کے الزامات سمجھوتا ايکسپريس ہيں، يوسف رضا گيلاني کو وزير اعظم نہيں مانتے. انہوں نے کہا کہ ملک ميں فوري طور پر انتخابات کرائے جائيں، صاف اور شفاف انتخابات ہي موجودہ صورتحال اور مسائل کا حل ہيں. عمران خان کا کہنا ہے کہ عدليہ سے يکجہتي کيليے 6 مئي کو اسلام آباد ميں مارچ کريں گے، وزيراعظم نے عدالتي حکم پر عمل نہ کيا تو احتجاجي مارچ کيا جائے گا، ہم چاہتے ہيں کہ جمہوريت کے استحکام کيلئے گرينڈ الائنس بنائيں، 27 مئي کو لياقت باغ راولپنڈي ميں جلسہ ہوگا. سربراہ پي ٹي آئي نے کہا کہ اے پي ڈي ايم ميں ن ليگ نے تمام جماعتوں کو دھوکا ديا، مسلم ليگ (ن) کي ساکھ بڑي کمزور ہے، ن ليگ نے ہميں دعوت دي ہے ليکن ان پر اعتماد نہيں کيا جاسکتا، ن ليگ پہلے اسمبليوں سے استعفي? دے، پھر بات ہوگي.
