PM chairs meeting on Pak security

(eNews.pk) - ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani chaired a high-level meeting at President House to review matters relating to Pakistan's security, Pak-US relations and the overall situation in the region.




Foreign Minister, Hina Rabbani Khar, Pakistan Ambassador to the US, Sherry Rehman, federal ministers and parliamentary leaders of the coalition parties are present at the meeting besides Army Chief General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani and ISI Chief Lt. General Zaheer-ul-Islam.
The meeting has agreed to reshape Pak-US relations in the light of the recommendations approved unanimously by the Parliament earlier this month.
The civil and military leadership also discussed issues linked to Pakistan's security and the overall situation in the region.

اسلام آباد…وزيراعظم يوسف رضا گيلاني کي صدارت ميں پي ايم ہاؤس ميں بدھ کي شب اہم اجلاس منعقد ہوا جس ميں آرمي چيف جنرل اشفاق پرويز کياني،ڈي جي آئي ايس آئي ليفٹنٹ جنرل ظہيرالاسلام، وزير خارجہ حنا رباني کھر، وزير دفاع احمد مختار،وزيرداخلہ رحمن ملک،وزيرخزانہ ڈاکٹرحفيظ شيخ، سيکريٹري خارجہ ،امريکا ميں پاکستان کي سفير شيري رحمن اور ديگر اعلي? حکام نے بھي شرکت کي.اس موقع پر پارليمنٹ کي سفارشات کي روشني ميں نيٹو ،ايساف اور امريکا سے نئي ترجيحات کے مطابق تعلقات سميت اہم امور اور قواعد وضوابط بھي زيرغور آئے،جبکہ ان تعلقات کے ازسرنو تعين کا بھي جائزہ ليا گيا.اجلاس ميں افغانستان اور خطے ميں امن و مفاہمتي عمل پر بھي غور کيا گيا.اجلاس ميں پاکستان کي سلامتي اورعلاقے کي موجودہ صورتحال پر بھي غور کيا گيا.ذرائع کا کہنا ہے کہ اجلاس ميں اہم فيصلے متوقع ہيں.
