One killed in Lyari violence

(eNews.pk) - KARACHI: Firing continued periodically causing tension in different areas of Lyari while one person was killed and another injured when unknown miscreants opened fire near General Hospital, Geo news reported Saturday.




According to sources, law enforcement agencies are continuing operation against criminal elements in the area that was launched on Friday morning where they encountered severe resistance. The security forces were attacked with hand grenades while grenade launchers were also fired.
Exchange of fire continued throughout the day that killed six persons, causing the area to shut.
Sources told that Crime Investigation Department (CID) police arrested several criminals and have taken control of some areas.
At night, there was decline in shooting incidents in the area but on Saturday morning, severe firing was reported again.
CID, Frontier Corps (FC), Elite Force and fresh contingent of Lyari police force have arrived at the scene and are advancing in the troubled areas.

کراچي… کراچي ميں لياري کے مختلف علاقوں ميں وقفہ وقفہ سے فائرنگ کا سلسلہ جاري ہے جس کے باعث علاقے ميں کشيدگي برقرارہے. جنرل اسپتال کے قريب فائرنگ کے نتيجے ميں ايک شخص ہلاک اور ايک زخمي ہو گيا. ادھر قانون نافظ کرنے والاے اداروں کے اہلکاروں کي جرائم پيشہ عناصر کے خلاف پيش قدمي جاري ہے. گزشتہ روز صبح سے لياري کے مختلف علاقوں ميں قانون نافظ کرنے والاے ادارے کے اہلکاروں نے گينگ وارملزمان کے خلاف آپريشن شروع کيا جس پر انھيں شديد مزاحمت کا سامنا کرنا پڑا. ملزمان نے پوليس پر فائرنگ کي، دستي بموں سے حملہ کئے اورگرنيڈ لانچر بھي فائر کئے. دن بھر جاري رہنے والے فائرنگ کے تبادلہ کے باعث پورا علاقہ بند رہا اور 6 افراد بھي جاں بحق ہوئے. ذرائع کے مطابق سي آئي ڈي پوليس نے متعدد جرائم پيشہ عناصرکو حراست ميں ليتے ہوئے کچھ علاقوں کا کنٹرول حاصل کر ليا ہے. رات گئے لياري کے علاقوں ميں فائرنگ کے واقعات ميں کچھ کمي آئي. آج صبح ايک پھر سے لياري کے مختلف علاقوں ميں شديد فائرنگ کا سلسلہ شروع ہوا جو وقفہ وقفہ سے جاري ہے. سي آئي ڈي، ايف سي، اليٹ فورس اور علاقہ پوليس کے تازہ دم دستہ لياري پہنچ چکے ہيں اور کشيدہ علاقوں ميں پيش قدمي کر رہے ہيں.
