Senate panel greenlights CIA nominee Brennan

(eNews.pk) - WASHINGTON: The U.S. Senate Intelligence Committee on Tuesday gave its approval for John Brennan to be the next director of the CIA, the establishment of a full confirmation vote this week.




Senators at a closed hearing voted 12-3 to approve Brennan, put it on track to be President Barack Obama the third major candidate of national security to be confirmed, after Secretary of State John Kerry and Pentagon chief Chuck Hagel.
"Nobody is better prepared to be CIA director Mr. Brennan," Senator Dianne Feinstein, who chairs the committee, said in a statement announcing the vote.
"The CIA needs a director and confirmed Majority Leader (Harry) Reid has committed to moving quickly to schedule a vote."








امریکی سینیٹ کمیٹی نے جان برینن کو سی آئی اے کا ڈائریکٹر بنانے کی منظوری دی


واشنگٹن....امریکی سینیٹ کی انٹیلی جنس کمیٹی نے جان برینن کی بطور سی آئی اے ڈائریکٹر نامزدگی کی منظوری دے دی ہے۔امریکی سینیٹ کی انٹیلی جنس کمیٹی میں وائٹ ہاو¿س کے انسداد دہشتگردی کے مشیر جان برینن کی بطور سی آئی اے ڈائیریکٹر نامزدگی سے متعلق رائے شماری ہوئی۔رائے شماری میں جان برینن کے حق میں 12 اور مخالفت میں 3 ووٹ ڈالے گئے،سینیٹ کی انٹیلی جنس کمیٹی سے منظوری کے بعد اب سینیٹ سے منظوری لینا باقی ہے۔سینیٹ انٹیلی جنس کمیٹی کے سربراہ سینیٹر ڈائین فینسٹین کا کہنا ہے کہ سینیٹ بھی جان برینن کی نامزدگی کی جلدہی منظوری دے گی۔اس طرح امریکی سینیٹ انٹیلی جنس کمیٹی نے جان برینن کوسی آئی اے ڈائریکٹر بنانے کی منظوری دیدی،سینیٹ سے منظوری ملی تووہ عہدہ سنبھال لیں گے۔
