LHC rejects Khurram Rasool's protective bail plea

(eNews.pk) - LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) has rejected the protective bail petition of Khurram Rasool on his non-presence. He is the former media coordinator of Prime Minister and accused in Rs.710 million fraud case, Geo news reported.




Earlier, Khurram Rasool had moved to Lahore High Court (LHC) for protective bail. He approached LHC for bail in LPG fraud case.
Two-member bench of LHC heard the petition and summoned NAB officials.
The NAB officials informed the court that Khurram Rasool is involved in Rs710 million LPG fraud case.
The counsel of Khurram Rasool said his client feared security risk. He asked the court not to dismiss the bail plea as he would take it back.
On this, the court remarked that whether he took the petition back or not the court rejects the plea of protective bail.

لاہور… لاہور ہائي کورٹ نے وزير اعظم کے سابق ميڈيا ايڈوائزر خرم رسول کي حفاظتي ضمانت کي درخواست عدم پيشي کي بنياد پر مسترد کر دي. ايل پي جي کوٹہ فراڈ کيس ميں مطلوب خرم رسول نے آج لاہور ہائي کورٹ سے اپني حفاظتي ضمانت کي درخواست کے لئے رجوع کيا تھا جس پر عدالت کے دو رکني بينچ نے درخواست کي سماعت کي اور نيب حکام کو طلب کيا. نيب نے مو?قف اختيار کيا کہ خرم رسول 71 کروڑ روپے کي کرپشن ميں ملوث ہيں. خرم رسول کے وکيل نے استدعا کي کہ خرم رسول کو سيکيورٹي خدشات ہيں ميڈيا نے بھي اس معاملے کو بڑا اچھالا ہے. عدالت نے ريمارکس ديئے کہ جب داد رسي کے لئے کوئي شخص خود رجوع نہيں کرتا تو عدالت کيسے داد رسي کرے. خرم رسول کے وکيل نے درخواست کي کہ حفاظتہ ضمانت کي درخواست مسترد نہ کي جائے، ميں درخواست واپس لے ليتاہوں، جس پر عدالت نے کہا کہ آپ درخواست واپس ليں يا نہ ليں ہم خرم رسول کي حفاظتي ضمانت کي درخواست مسترد کرتے ہيں.
