عمران خان نے برادرانہ بنگلہ دیش کے ساتھ قریبی تعلقات کے لئے پاکستان کی اہمیت پر زور دیا تھا اور باہمی رابطوں اور لوگوں کے تبادلے سے باہمی روابط کی اہمیت پر روشنی ڈالی تھی۔ انہوں نے کہا تھا کہ پاکستان باہمی اعتماد ، احترام اور خودمختاری مساوات کی بنیاد پر بنگلہ دیش کے ساتھ تعلقات کو گہرا کرنے کے لئے پرعزم ہے۔
دوسری طرف ، پاکستان اور بنگلہ دیش کے مابین تعلقات میں بہتری کی وجہ سے ہندوستان پریشان ہے۔ معلوم ہوا ہے کہ بنگلہ دیش کی وزیر اعظم شیخ حسینہ نے بار بار درخواستوں کے باوجود ہندوستانی ہائی کمشنر سے ملنے سے انکار کردیا۔

According to sources, the important development was made after China played an important role in reducing diplomatic tensions between Pakistan and Bangladesh. Prime Minister Imran Khan’s recent telephone contact with his Bangladeshi counterpart was also a link in this chain.
Imran Khan had underlined the importance of Pakistan for closer relations with fraternal Bangladesh and emphasized the importance of regular bilateral contacts and exchanges between people. He said Pakistan was determined to deepen relations with Bangladesh based on mutual trust, respect and sovereign equality.
On the other hand, India is concerned about the improving relations between Pakistan and Bangladesh. Despite repeated requests, Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been refused to meet the Indian High Commissioner.
