وزیر اعظم نے صارفین پر بوجھ کم کرنے کیلئے بجلی کے شعبے کو فوری طور پر ختم کرنے پر زور دیا

وزیر اعظم عمران خان نے کہا ہے کہ بجلی کا شعبہ ملک کی معاشی نمو کو متاثر کررہا ہے اور صارفین پر موجودہ بوجھ کو کم کرنے کے لئے فوری طور پر اوور ہالنگ اور اصلاحات کا عمل ضروری ہے۔

آج اسلام آباد میں بجلی کے شعبے میں اصلاحات سے متعلق اجلاس کی صدارت کرتے ہوئے ، انہوں نے پہلے ہی منظور شدہ تنظیم نو روڈ میپ پر جلد عمل درآمد کی ہدایت کی۔

وزیر اعظم نے وزیر بجلی کو یہ بھی مشورہ دیا کہ وہ عوام کو آئی پی پیز کے ساتھ بات چیت میں حاصل ہونے والے اہم سنگ میل اور گھریلو اور تجارتی صارفین سمیت صارفین کے لئے اس کے ممکنہ فوائد کے بارے میں آگاہ کریں۔

عمران خان نے آئی پی پی کے معاہدوں میں باہمی اتفاق رائے سے ہونے والی تبدیلیوں میں پیشرفت کو سراہا جس میں کہا گیا ہے کہ لاگت میں توسیع کی وجہ سے سرکلر ڈیٹ کو کم کرنے میں مدد ملے گی۔

بجلی کے شعبے سے متعلق امور ، اس شعبے کی اصلاح اور تنظیم نو کا مجوزہ روڈ میپ اور سرکلر ڈیٹ کے معاملے اور آئی پی پیز کے ساتھ بات چیت سمیت دیگر متعلقہ امور زیربحث آئے۔

اجلاس میں وزیر منصوبہ بندی اسد عمر ، وزیر بجلی عمر ایوب ، ایس اے پی ایم شہزاد قاسم ، ایس اے پی ایم ندیم بابر اور اعلی عہدیدار شریک تھے۔

Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the power sector is affecting the economic growth of the country and immediate overhauling and reforms are needed to reduce the current burden on consumers.

Presiding over a meeting on power sector reforms in Islamabad today, he directed for early implementation of the already reorganized roadmap.

The Prime Minister also advised the Power Minister to make the public aware of the important milestones achieved in interactions with IPPs and its potential benefits for consumers including domestic and commercial consumers.

Imran Khan appreciated the progress made in the mutually agreed changes in the IPP agreements, saying that the increase in cost would help reduce the circular debt.

Issues related to the power sector, the proposed roadmap and reorganization of the sector and the issue of circular debt and discussions with IPPs were also discussed.

The meeting was attended by Planning Minister Asad Umar, Power Minister Omar Ayub, SAPM Shehzad Qasim, SAPM Nadeem Babar and senior officials.
