The Punjab Sports Board (SBP) has recognized the services of the Asian Games gold medalist, Din Mohammad, and has decided to honor them. Din Mohammad won a gold medal at the 1954 Asian Games and complained a few days ago that he was not well received by the officials concerned for his contributions to the country.
Din Mohammad is the first Pakistani athlete to have the unique honor of winning a gold medal for the country in an international competition. Taimur Khan Punjab’s sports minister said the government is paying tribute to Din Muhammad for his services.
“The admiration of the national heroes cannot be ignored. These legends have made the country proud worldwide, ”said the minister Taimur Khan affirmed that SBP would give Din Muhammad any help and also announced that his picture would appear in SBP’s Wall of Fame.

پنجاب اسپورٹس بورڈ (ایس بی پی) نے ایشین گیمز میں طلائی تمغہ جیتنے والے دین محمد کی خدمات کو تسلیم کیا ہے اور ان کے اعزاز کا فیصلہ کیا ہے۔ دین محمد نے 1954 میں ہونے والے ایشین گیمز میں طلائی تمغہ جیتا تھا اور کچھ دن پہلے شکایت کی تھی کہ ملک میں ان کی شراکت کے لئے متعلقہ عہدیداروں کی طرف سے ان کا خیر مقدم نہیں کیا گیا تھا۔
دین محمد پہلے پاکستانی ایتھلیٹ ہیں جنھیں بین الاقوامی مقابلے میں ملک کے لئے سونے کا تمغہ جیتنے کا انوکھا اعزاز حاصل ہے۔ تیمور خان پنجاب کے وزیر کھیل نے کہا کہ حکومت دین محمد کو ان کی خدمات پر خراج تحسین پیش کررہی ہے۔
قومی ہیروز کی تعریف کو نظرانداز نہیں کیا جاسکتا۔ وزیر اعظم تیمور خان نے تصدیق کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ اسٹیٹ بینک دین محمد کو کسی بھی طرح کی مدد فراہم کرے گا اور یہ اعلان بھی کیا کہ ان کی تصویر اسٹیٹ بینک کی وال آف فیم میں نمودار ہوگی۔
