On Tuesday, President Dr. Arif Alvi called on clerics and elders to play their part in ensuring the implementation of standard operating procedures against Covid 19 in mosques and imambargahs during the holy month of Ramadan.

The President appreciated the role of scholars and shaykhs in adhering to SOPs during the last Ramadan and called for implementation of guiding principles in mosques and imambargahs.

“Imams and preachers have deep ties with the general public and should be made aware of the guidelines that include wearing face masks, washing hands and maintaining social distance,” he said.

Addressing on the occasion, Minister for Religious Affairs Dr Noor-ul-Haq Qadri said that the ministry was in touch with all stakeholders to deal with the situation.

He said that SOPs issued by the government would be implemented in all mosques and imambargahs with the cooperation of Azmat Mosques.

The Minister said that the SOPs adopted by Pakistan last year were appreciated by the world and some countries including Turkey also followed these guidelines.

تفصیلات کے مطابق میڈیا کو بریفنگ دیتے ہوئے آج عوام سے اپیل کی کہ وہ گھروں میں وضو کرنے کے بعد مساجد کا رخ کریں۔ اس کے علاوہ ، ‘تمام مساجد اور امام بارگاہیں پورے مہینے کے دوران ہی کھولی رہیں گی۔’ انہوں نے کہا کہ ، کورونویرس اصول کی سختی سے تعمیل کرتے ہوئے ، اس سال کے رمضان میں ایک بار پھر وفادار مساجد میں اپنی تراویح کی نماز ادا کرتے ہوئے دیکھیں گے۔

انہوں نے کہا کہ ائمہ اور خطیب عام لوگوں کے ساتھ گہری باہمی روابط رکھتے ہیں اور انہیں ان رہنما خطوط کے بارے میں آگاہی پیدا کرنا چاہئے جن میں چہرہ ماسک پہننا ، ہاتھ دھونے اور معاشرتی فاصلے کو برقرار رکھنا شامل ہیں۔

اس موقع پر وزیر مذہبی امور ڈاکٹر نور الحق قادری نے خطاب کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ صورتحال سے نمٹنے کے لئے وزارت تمام اسٹیک ہولڈرز سے رابطے میں ہے۔

انہوں نے کہا کہ حکومت کی طرف سے جاری کردہ ایس او پیز کو تمام مساجد اور امام بارگاہوں میں عظمت مساجد کے تعاون سے نافذ کیا جائے گا۔

وزیر موصوف نے کہا کہ پاکستان نے گذشتہ سال اپنائے گئے ایس او پیز کو دنیا نے سراہا اور ترکی سمیت کچھ ممالک نے بھی ان ہدایات پر عمل کیا۔
