Iranian Foreign Minister Dr. Javad Zarif telephoned Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi about the situation of the coronaviruses and the recent outbreak of the locust in the region and agreed on the need for a concerted effort to counter this threat effectively.
During the telephone conversation, they also exchanged views on the Afghan peace process.
FM Qureshi reaffirmed Pakistan’s steadfast support for the peace and reconciliation process in Afghanistan and our hopes for the earliest start of the intra-Afghan negotiations
FM Qureshi expressed his grief over the loss of valuable life in Iran through COVID-19 and hopes that Iran will succeed against the pandemic.
He thanked the Iranian leaders’ fundamental position on the rights of the Kashmiri people and highlighted the growing difficulties in occupied Kashmir due to communication restrictions and unrestricted access to medical and other supplies to treat COVID-19.
The Foreign Minister also drew attention to the demoralization of Muslims in India under COVID-19 and stressed that this should be rejected by the global community.

ایف ایم قریشی نے کورونا کی وجہ سے ایران میں قیمتی جانوں کے ضیاع پر غم کا اظہار کیا ، انہیں امید ہے کہ ایران وبائی امراض کے خلاف کامیابی حاصل کرلے گا۔
