ISLAMABAD: The Economic Co-ordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet has approved the provision of Rs 75 billion to the Prime Minister’s Ehsas Program for the assistance of day laborers.
A meeting of the Economic Co-ordination Committee was held under the chairmanship of Finance Advisor Hafeez Sheikh in which Rs. 75 billion was sanctioned under the Ehsas program. Under the relief package, Rs. Named, the workers will be provided Rs 75 billion out of a package of Rs 200 billion.
The existing 3 categories of Ehsas Kifalat program will include the fourth category for laborers, to help the wage earners and the working class affected by the lockdown, the Ministry of Industry and other agencies have been directed to develop a mechanism in this regard. In addition, 12 million beneficiaries of the Ehsas Kifalat program.
The committee also approved Rs 1.30 billion for payment of dues of steel mills this financial year, Rs 3.85 billion per annum for next three years for Pakistan Steel Mills and non-payment of dues of Pakistan Steel Mills in South Africa. Approval was given to settle the issue of confiscation of PNSC ships due to dues.

اسلام آباد: کابینہ کی اقتصادی رابطہ کمیٹی (ای سی سی) نے یومیہ مزدوروں کی مدد کے لئے وزیر اعظم کے احساس پروگرام کے لئے 75 ارب روپے مختص کرنے کی منظوری دے دی۔
اقتصادی مشاورتی کمیٹی کے اجلاس میں ، مشیر خزانہ حفیظ شیخ کی زیرصدارت احساس پروگرام کے تحت 75 ارب کی منظوری دی گئی۔
احساس کفالت پروگرام کی موجودہ تین اقسام میں مزدوروں کے لئے چوتھی قسم میں اجرت حاصل کرنے والے افراد اور لاک ڈاون سے متاثرہ مزدور طبقے کی مدد کی جاسکے گی۔ محکمہ صنعت اور دیگر اداروں کو ہدایت کی گئی ہے کہ وہ اس ضمن میں ایک طریقہ کار تیار کریں۔
کمیٹی نے رواں مالی سال اسٹیل ملز کے واجبات کی ادائیگی کیلئے 1 ارب 30 کروڑ روپے کی منظوری بھی دی ہے، پاکستان اسٹیل ملز کے لئے اگلے تین سال کیلئے 3 ارب 85 کروڑ روپے کی منظوری دی، جنوبی افریقہ میں پاکستان سٹیل مل کےعدم ادا واجبات کے باعث پی این ایس سی کے جہازوں کی ضبطگی کےمعاملہ طے کرنے کی منظوری دی گئی۔
