Inflation has taken its place, but profiteers have also made Eid-ul-Adha dishes dull for the people.

Vegetable prices are skyrocketing, and tomatoes, peppers and lemons have become more expensive across the country.

Vendors in Islamabad and Lahore agreed and began charging for the price of green spices.

On the other hand, the country’s sugar price has also completed a century. Sugar is available at Rs. 100 per kg in the capital Islamabad and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

On the occasion of Eid, the prices of vegetables increased in the small and vegetable markets of Peshawar.

The price of tomatoes has gone up from Rs 80 to Rs 120 per kg and lemons from Rs 200 to Rs 250 per kg.

Similarly, the price of ginger has gone up to Rs 400 to Rs 600 per kg, garlic to Rs 200 per kg and green chillies to Rs 120 per kg.

Citizens are forced to buy expensive vegetables due to lack of control and balance of vegetable prices by the administration.

According to vegetable sellers, the demand for tomatoes, garlic, ginger and other vegetables increases during Eid, which in turn increases the price.
