The former governor of Baluchistan, Syed Fazal Agha, who had tested positive for the coronavirus a few days ago, died on Wednesday in a private hospital in Karachi.
Quetta, a doctor at Fatima Jinnah Chest Hospital, said Agha was first brought to the facility for medical treatment. He added that “however, he was transferred to Karachi after his condition worsened.”
Agha was also a member of the Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Baluchistan Assembly. He was governor of Baluchistan during the last tenure of Nawaz Sharif and was deputy spokesman for the Senate in the late 1980s.
The news of Agha’s death comes hours after PTI member of the Gujranwala Punjab gathering, Shaheen Raza, died at Mayo Hospital in Lahore after he tested positive for new corona virus.
The governor of Sindh, Imran Ismail, and the spokesman for the National Assembly, Asad Qaiser, are some of the few politicians who tested positive for the virus. Both have recovered from the virus.

بلوچستان کے سابق گورنر سید فضل آغا ، جنہوں نے کچھ دن پہلے کورونا وائرس کا مثبت تجربہ کیا تھا ، بدھ کے روز کراچی کے نجی اسپتال میں انتقال کر گئے۔
فاطمہ جناح چیسٹ اسپتال ، کوئٹہ کے ایک ڈاکٹر نے بتایا کہ آغا کو ابتدائی طور پر طبی سہولیات کے لئے اس سہولت میں لایا گیا تھا۔ انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ “تاہم ان کی حالت خراب ہونے کے بعد انہیں کراچی منتقل کردیا گیا تھا۔”
آغا جمعیت علمائے اسلام فضل (جے یو آئی-ایف) کی بلوچستان اسمبلی کے ممبر بھی تھے۔ وہ نواز شریف کے آخری دور میں بلوچستان کے گورنر رہے اور سن 1980 کی دہائی کے آخر میں سینیٹ کے ڈپٹی اسپیکر کی حیثیت سے خدمات انجام دیں۔
گورنر سندھ عمران اسماعیل اور قومی اسمبلی کے اسپیکر اسد قیصر ان چند سیاستدانوں میں سے ہیں جنہوں نے وائرس کے لئے مثبت تجربہ کیا تھا۔ دونوں وائرس سے صحتیاب ہوئے ہیں۔
