Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) to pay tribute to doctors and medics fighting the coronavirus by offering them a discount on flights during the Eid-ul-Fitr festival.
Air Marshal Arshad Malik’s PIA chief executive instructed the National Flag Carrier to offer a 10% discount on all flights for doctors and paramedical personnel who wish to travel before and during Eid-ul-Fitr.
Air Marshal Arshad Malik said that humanity is going through a severe crisis in the COVID-19 pandemic and that medical experts have been at the forefront of the fight against the corona virus.
The PIA CEO said that issuing discounted airline tickets is an attempt to recognize the victims and services of all doctors and paramedical staff.
The doctors were able to get their plane tickets at discounted prices after presenting their ID card issued by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC).

ایئر مارشل ارشاد ملک پی آئی اے کے چیف ایگزیکٹو آفیسر (سی ای او) نے ہدایت کی ، نیشنل فلیگ کیریئر نے عید الفطر سے پہلے اور اس کے دوران سفر کرنے کے خواہشمند ڈاکٹروں اور پیرامیڈیکل عملہ کے لئے تمام پروازوں پر 10 فیصد چھوٹ دینے کا اعلان کیا۔
ایئر مارشل ارشاد ملک نے کہا کہ انسانیت کورونا وائرس وبائی بیماری کے سنگین بحران سے گذر رہی ہے اور طب کے ماہرین کورونا وائرس کے خلاف فرنٹ لائن پر لڑ رہے ہیں۔
سی ای او پی آئی اے نے کہا کہ رعایتی قیمت پر ہوائی ٹکٹ کا اجراء تمام ڈاکٹروں اور پیرامیڈیکل عملے کی قربانیوں اور خدمات کو تسلیم کرنے کی کوشش ہے۔
