WhatsApp is working on advancing the audio and video calls feature for its desktop app, WABetainfo has now revealed that to further enhance its user experience, the platform is working on an Instagram-like feature. Will allow you to mute your videos before sharing.
The feature is currently being rolled out to beta testers as part of beta 2.21.3.13 version.
So far, the application only allows you to trim videos, and add text and images. Users receiving the beta update will see a “volume icon” in the edit menu before sharing. Pressing the icon once will mute the video and pressing it again will mute the audio. According to the image shared by WABetainfo, the icon will be located below the video search bar. The other options will remain the same.
Note that this new feature will only allow users to delete the entire audio from the video. This will not only apply to certain parts of the video.
In other news, WhatsApp is also working on a multi-device support feature. According to reports, this feature will soon come to the stable version of WhatsApp and some users included in the older version of the app will be able to use it.
