Tahir-ul-Qadri's petition to be heard today

(eNews.pk) - A three-member bench of the high court heard the petition against the appointment Qadri of the High Chief Election Commissioner and Provincial election commissioners Monday. During the bank's procedures Qadri asked to remain focused on the topic at hand when he tried to let them know their efforts during court movement.




The Chief Justice asked whether a Canadian citizen could also keep Pakistan citizenship? Tahirul Qadri said that he was a citizen of Pakistan and Canada, adding that the documents relating to immigration will be presented in due course.
The presiding judge asked on what basis Qadri acquired citizenship of Canada, asking if I had death threats. Qadri in response, said it acquired Canadian citizenship in 2005 after resigning from the National Assembly on the basis of being a religious scholar.

اسلام آباد…سپریم کورٹ میں الیکشن کمیشن کی تشکیل نو سے متعلق ڈاکٹر طاہرالقادری کی درخواست پر سماعت آج پھر ہوگی، ڈاکٹر طاہر القادری کینیڈین شہریت کی دستاویزات پیش کریں گے، کیس کی سماعت چیف جسٹس افتخارمحمد چوہدری کی سربراہی میں تین رکنی بنچ کر رہا ہے۔ گزشتہ روز سماعت کے دوران طاہر القادری نے استفسار پر بتایاکہ وہ پاکستان کے شہری ہونے کے ساتھ کینیڈا کی شہریت بھی رکھتے ہیں۔ اس موقع پرعدالت نے ریمارکس دیے کہ کسی دوسرے ملک کی وفاداری کا حلف اٹھانے والا پاکستان کے الیکشن کمیشن کی تشکیل نوکی پٹیشن کیسے دائر کرسکتا ہے۔ عدالت نے طاہر القادری کو آج کینیڈا کی شہریت کی دستاویزات اور حق دعویٰ سے متعلق نکتے پر مفصل جواب داخل کر نے کی ہدایت کی ہے۔
