Quetta carnage: SC to hear suo moto case today

(eNews.pk) - ISLAMABAD: Pakistan's Supreme Court will hear a case suo motu into the killing of members of the Hazara community in Quetta, today (Tuesday).




Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaurdhy suo moto noted the continuing violence against the community on Monday.
Attorney General of Pakistan and the Advocate General Balochistan were summoned to the Supreme Court.
The Hazara community has been the target of several attacks in Quetta and other parts of Balochistan. On Saturday, at least 89 community members, including women and children, were killed when a bomb exploded in a vegetable market in mortal Kirani road.

اسلام آباد چیف جسٹس پاکستان جسٹس افتخار محمد چوہدری نے کوئٹہ میں ہزارہ کمیونٹی کے قتل عام کا نوٹس لے لیا، اٹارنی جنرل پاکستان اور ایڈووکیٹ جنرل بلوچستان کو آج سپریم کورٹ میں طلب کرلیا گیا۔ چیف جسٹس افتخار محمد چوہدری نے کوئٹہ میں علمدار روڈ اور کیرانی روڈ واقعات میں ہزارہ کمیونٹی کے قتل عام کا نوٹس لے لیا، سپریم کورٹ ذرائع کے مطابق از خود نوٹس کیس کی سماعت آج اوپن کورٹ میں ہوگی۔ چیف جسٹس نے اٹارنی جنرل پاکستان اور ایڈووکیٹ جنرل بلوچستان آج سپریم کورٹ میں طلب کرلیا ہے۔ رجسٹرار سپریم کورٹ کے نوٹ کے مطابق کوئٹہ میں ہزارہ برادری کا دھرنا جاری ہے جبکہ پورے ملک میں شیعہ برادری احتجاج کررہی ہے۔ واضح رہے کہ علمدار روڈ اور کیرانی روڈ پر خود کش حملوں میں ہزارہ برادری کے 160 سے زائد افراد جاں بحق اور 300 سے زائد زخمی ہوئے۔
