Pakistan elected to UN Human Rights Council

(eNews.pk) - UNITED NATIONS: Pakistan has been elected to the UN Human Rights Council, for the third time, Geo news reported Monday.




Pakistan's permanent representative to the UN Masood Khan, said in a statement that human rights are part of the country's constitution and its ideology.
He said the international community placed confidence in the services of Pakistan with the election to the HRC.

نیو یارک…پاکستان اقوام متحدہ کی انسانی حقوق کونسل کا رکن منتخب ہو گیا۔اقوام متحدہ انسانی حقوق کونسل کیلئے پاکستان تیسری مرتبہ منتخب ہواہے۔انسانی حقوق کونسل میں 13 ممالک کاتعلق افریقہ سے،13 کا ایشیاسے ہوتا ہے ۔انسانی حقوق کونسل کا ممبر بننے کیلئے 97 ووٹ درکار ہوتے ہیں جبکہ پاکستان نے 171 ووٹ لئے۔اقوام متحدہ میں پاکستانی مندوب مسعود خان پاکستان کے انتخاب پر اپنے بیان میں کہا ہے کہ انسانی حقوق ہمارے آئین اور قومی نظریات کا حصہ ہیں،پاکستان کاانتخاب عالمی برادری کی طرف سے خدمات پر اعتماد کا اظہار ہے۔
