Last day for 150 MPs to get their degrees verified

(eNews.pk) - Islamabad: Today is the last day for former legislators to their questionable degrees validated by the Higher Education Commission (HEC), while more than 150 former lawmakers yet submitted their degrees Commission Geo news.




The Supreme Court in the case of false studios to 1 April 5th went down April deadline for 189 former legislators to make their titles validated and HEC was directed to issue a new notice of these former members.
SC to further said that if lawmakers fail to get their degrees validated within the specified deadline of 5 April, their nomination papers as candidates in elections on May 11 was rejected as candidates are required to provide the necessary correct information in the nomination papers. A one-time disqualification for inaccuracies would forever unfit next actions would be taken against former lawmakers for providing incorrect information.

اسلام آباد…مشکوک ڈگری والے ڈیڑھ سو سے زیادہ سابق ارکان پارلیمنٹ کے لیے خود کو کلیئر کرانے کا آج آخری دن ہے ڈگریوں کی تصدیق کے لیے ابھی تک ڈیڑھ سو سے زائد سابق ارکان اسمبلی نے ہائرایجوکیشن کمیشن کو اسناد جمع ہی نہیں کرائیں۔یکم اپریل کو سپریم کورٹ نے جعلی ڈگری کیس میں 189سابق ارکان پارلیمنٹ کو ڈگریوں کی تصدیق 5اپریل تک کرانے کی مہلت دی تھی۔عدالتی حکم میں کہا گیا تھا کہ ایچ ای سی ان سابق ارکان کو ڈگریوں کی تصدیق کیلیے دوبارہ نوٹس جاری کرے۔ سپریم کورٹ کے حکم کے مطابق اگرڈگریوں کی تصدیق نہ ہوئی توانتخابی امیدوارکے طورپران کی جانب سے جمع کرائے گئے کاغذات نامزدگی مسترد کر دیے جائیں گے۔ امیدوار کاغذات نامزدگی میں درست معلومات فراہم کرنے کے پابند ہیں، غلط بیانی پر ایک مرتبہ کی نااہلیت ہمیشہ کی نااہلی ہوگی۔غلط معلومات فراہم کرنے والیسابق ارکان پارلیمنٹ کے خلاف کارروائی عمل میں لائی جائے گی۔
