Karachi: rainwater on the roads, traffic jams

(eNews.pk) - KARACHI: Heavy rain in most areas of the provincial capital has many roads and streets flooded with water, causing serious problems for commuters.




According to sources, the roads in various parts of Karachi including the University road, Hassan Square, Nipa and people secretariat and Nazimabad give the look of the rivers after heavy rains, which began in the morning and continued throughout the day with short intervals.
The accumulation of water on roads and streets grate locks caused in many areas, including scores of vehicles broke in the middle of roads and the riders had them aside with the help of passers-by. This made it difficult for commuters to get from one point to another and it took hours to reach their respective destinations.

کراچی… کراچی شہر کے مختلف علاقوں میں بارش سے سٹرکوں پر پانی جمع ہوگیا ہے۔یونیورسٹی روڈ پر حسن اسکوائر، نیپا،پیپلز سیکریٹریٹ،نرسری،پیر بخاری مزار اور شارع فیصل پر ملٹری گیٹ کے قریب پانی جمع ہوگیا ہے۔ شارع فیصل پر بارش کے باعث ٹریفک جام ہوگیا۔ٹریفک جام کے باعث اسکولوں اور دفاتر سے واپس جانیوالے پریشانی کا شکار ہوگئے۔ محکمہ موسمیات کے مطابق شارع فیصل پر 35 ،یونی ورسٹی روڈ پر27 لانڈھی اور نارتھ کراچی میں26.7 ،ناظم آباد، صدر 21،پہلوان گوٹھ میں 26 ملی میٹر بارش رکارڈ کی گئی جبکہ اندرون سندھ میں ٹھٹھہ میں سب سے زیادہ 77.4 ملی میٹر بارش رکارڈ کی گئی ہے،بدین 38،نوابشاہ 25،سندھڑی میں 43 م،چھور اور ٹنڈو جام میں 19 ملی میٹر بارش رکارڈ کی گئی ہے۔چیف میٹرلو جسٹ توصیف عالم کے مطابقکراچی سمیت سندھ میں بارش کا سلسلہ اتوار تک جاری رہیگا،سندھ میں وقفے وقفے سے بارش کا سلسلہ جاری رہیگا۔
