Islamabad Motorway Block due to Heavy fog

(eNews.pk) - ISLAMABAD: Lahore, Peshawar and Kot Momin Faisalabad motorway has been closed to traffic due to thick fog, Geo news.




Air traffic at the airport in Islamabad has also been suspended due to fog.
The Motorway Police said the road had been closed as the level of visibility was reduced to zero. The highway was reopened to traffic after visibility improved, they said.
Police urged motorists to drive slowly and turn on the fog lights. They also asked people to stay home and avoid unnecessary travel.
Severe cold weather has been holding parts of Punjab and dense fog causing problems for travelers for many days.
According to the Bureau of Meteorology, the cold wave will continue for a few days.
