Alongwith iPhone 13 series and wearables, Apple has also launched two entry level iPads, iPad Mini and iPad 10.2 in the September 2021 launch event. iPads also launched with a number of changes. Let’s have look on latest changes and upgrades in newly Apple iPads.
iPad 10.2 2021
Apple has launched the iPad 10.2 with an upgraded chipset Bionic A13 as compared to previously launched iPad with A12 Bionic. However, the iPad has same bezels and display size.
The iPad has now an increased base storage which is increased up to 64GB. Camera is also unchanged but comes with enhanced and improved image quality. Moving towards, the front camera, the iPad Mini 10.2 is featured with an upgraded ultrawide lens up to 120 degree with a 12MP sensor.
The iPad 10.2 comes with Wifi model at the price tag of $239, while the cellular variant starts at $459. The iPad will go for sale on 24th September 2021 and comes in Space Grey and Silver colors.
iPad Mini 6 2021
iPad Mini 6 has also some major changes and upgrades. The iPad Mini 6 has now curved sides and flat edges. The iPad has an increased size of 8.3 and the older one was 7.9 inches. Instead of Power Button and Fingerprint sensor, the iPad comes with Home Button embedded with touch ID.
The iPad comes with 500 nits brightness with TrueTone. It is given with landscape oriented stereo speakers as well. The iPad 6 is also featured with 2nd generation Apple Pencil which is attached on the side with magnet.
The iPad 6 is topped with latest chipset A15 Bionic with 40% consumption power and 80% leap in GPU performance as compared to previous iPad.
iPad Mini 6 has an upgraded main camera on the rear side with True Tone flash and wider f/1.8 aperture. The front camera additionally provided with 12MP sensor with ultrawide sensor.
This time the cellular variant of iPad Mini is upgraded to 5G and USB C Port is used instead of normal port.
The Cellular variant costs $649 for the base variant (64GB) which can be upgraded to 256GB while the Wifi variant is priced at $499. The iPad Mini 6 comes in Space Gray, Pink, Purple and Starlight. It is now available for pre orders now and will be shipped from 24th September 2021.
