Prime Minister Imran Khan visited the Red Crescent Corona Care Hospital in Rawalpindi, established by the Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS). The Prime Minister also visited and checked the facilities set up for coronavirus patients.
The Prime Minister was appointed by Sheikh Rashid Ahmad, Minister of Railways, special assistant to Prime Minister Dr. Sania Nishtar, Dr. Zafar Mirza and member of the National Assembly Amir Mehmood Kiyani accompanied.
PRCS Chairman Abrar-ul-Haq provided the Prime Minister with detailed information about the measures that PRCS has taken during the situation due to the coronavirus pandemic and the hospital’s facilities. He said the hospital, with the capacity to treat 100 patients, also had a 10-bed intensive care unit (ICU) with eight ventilators. He also provided information about the other facilities that Corona Care Hospital offers, including surgical theater, X-ray, ultrasound, laboratory and pharmacy, etc.
He also informed that PRCS, which was present across the country, was at the forefront of supporting the national COVID-19 response through various measures, including the ongoing distribution of 200,000 N-95 masks; Feed 40,000 families; Establishment of eight field hospitals, provision of 10,000 personal protective equipment (PPE), screening of 45,000 people, use of ambulances at border areas and airports, distribution of 10,000 hygiene kits, etc.

وزیر اعظم عمران خان نے پاکستان ریڈ کریسنٹ سوسائٹی (پی آر سی ایس) کے قائم کردہ ریڈ کریسنٹ کورونا کیئر ہسپتال کا دورہ کیا۔ وزیر اعظم نے کورونا وائرس کے مریضوں کے لئے قائم کردہ سہولیات کا بھی جاائزہ بھی لیا۔
وزیر اعظم کا استقبال شیخ رشید احمد ، وزیر ریلوے ، وزیر اعظم کے معاون خصوصی ڈاکٹر ثانیہ نشتر ، ڈاکٹر ظفر مرزا اور ممبر قومی اسمبلی عامر محمود کیانی نے کیا۔
پی آر سی ایس کے چیئرمین ابرار الحق نے وزیراعظم کو کورونا وائرس وبائی امراض اور اسپتال کی سہولیات اور اٹھائے گئے اقدامات کے بارے میں تفصیلی معلومات فراہم کیں۔ انہوں نے بتایا کہ 100 مریضوں کے علاج کی گنجائش کے حامل اس اسپتال میں 10 بستروں کی انتہائی نگہداشت کی یونٹ (آئی سی یو) بھی ہے جس میں آٹھ وینٹیلیٹر ہیں۔ انہوں نے کورونا کیئر ہسپتال کی پیش کردہ دیگر سہولیات کے بارے میں بھی معلومات فراہم کیں جن میں سرجیکل تھیٹر ، ایکسرے ، الٹراساؤنڈ ، لیبارٹری اور فارمیسی وغیرہ شامل ہیں۔
