Karachi may experience a mild heat wave after May 17 (tomorrow), the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicted
The Pakistani weather department said the temperature is expected to be between 39 and 41 degrees Celsius.
According to today’s weather forecast, the mercury can reach up to 38 degrees Celsius in the port city during the day, with 58% humidity measured in the air this afternoon.

On the other hand, most parts of the country are likely to have mostly hot and dry weather in the next 24 hours. In Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir, rain with wind and thunderstorms is expected.
The temperature of some major cities was recorded early in the morning:
Islamabad 16 degrees Celsius, Lahore 22, Peshawar 20, Karachi 29, Quetta 11, Gilgit 13, Muzaffarabad 18 and Murree 15 degrees Celsius.
