FC Police powers expire in Quetta

(eNews.pk) - QUETTA: The powers granted to the police the Frontier Corps (FC) expired today (Monday), Geo news reported Sunday.




According to the Balochistan Home Secretary, the expiration date will not be extended further. But he added that the provincial government has not taken any decision.
Itt is pertinent to mention here that the FC were given police powers for the first time on September 2 this year for two months to maturity that were granted by the federal government for another month until December 2, 2012. The extension was also endorsed by the provincial cabinet.

کوئٹہ…کوئٹہ میں ایف سی کو دیئے گئے پولیس اختیارات کی میعاد ختم ہوگئی، سیکریٹری داخلہ بلوچستان کا کہنا ہے کہ ایف سی کو دیئے گئے پولیس اختیارات کی معیاد میں توسیع نہیں کی جارہی۔ سیکریٹری داخلہ بلوچستان کا کہنا ہے کہ ایف سی کے پولیس اختیارات میں توسیع نہیں کی جارہی، ایف سی کو اختیارات دینے پر حکومت نے کوئی فیصلہ نہیں کیا ہے۔ واضح رہے کہ کوئٹہ میں ایف سی کو پہلی بار رواں سال 2ستمبر کو پولیس کے اختیارات سونپے گئے تھے اور معیاد پو ری ہونے پر 2 نومبر 2012ء کو وفاق نے 1 ماہ کیلئے ایف سی کو دوبارہ اختیارات دیئے، وفاقی حکومت کے فیصلے کی توثیق صوبائی کابینہ نے بھی دی تھی۔
