ECP rules violated in NA 151 by-polls

(eNews.pk) - Multan: Voters have begun to cast their votes in the by-election in NA 151 Multan election where candidates are openly violating the code of conduct established by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Thursday, Geo news.




According to sources, is first in the country's electoral history that the PAC had decided to provide transport to voters in the by-election in NA 151, in the light of the decision of June 08, the Supreme Court Pakistan.
The ECP had directed the Multan District Election Commission to provide transport to voters during the by-election today, however, candidates are violating the orders of the CCA and the provision of transport to carry voters to the centers voting.
Despite the ban, candidates have also set up camps near the polling stations.
It is pertinent to mention that 151 NA seat fell vacant following the disqualification of former Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani, the Supreme Court for contempt of court.

ملتان… ملتان کے حلقے اين اے 151 ملتان 4 ميں ضمني انتخاب کے لئے پولنگ کا وقت شروع ہوگيا ہے اور اميدواروں کي جانب سے اليکشن کميشن کے ضابطہ اخلاق کي کھلم کھلا خلاف ورزي ديکھنے ميںآ رہي ہے. ملتان کي يہ نشست سابق وزير اعظم يوسف رضا گيلاني کي نااہلي کے سبب خالي ہوئي تھي. ضمني انتخاب ميں 10 اميدوار حصہ لے رہے ہيں. يوسف رضا گيلاني کے بيٹے عبدالقادر گيلاني پيپلز پارٹي کے اميدوار ہيں جبکہ شوکت حيات بوسن کو مسلم ليگ نون کي حمايت حاصل ہے.اليکشن کميشن نے پولنگ کے لئے خصوصي انٹظامات کئے اور پہلي بار ووٹرزکو ٹرانسپورٹ بھي فراہم کي جائے گي تاہم اميدوار ووٹروں کو پولنگ اسٹيشن لانے کيلئے گاڑياں استعمال کر رہے ہيں. يہي نہيں بلکہ پابندي کے باوجود اميدواروں نے پولنگ اسٹيشنوں کے قريب کيمپ لگا رکھے ہيں. ملتان کے اس حلقہ کے 3 لاکھ 8 ہزار 871 ووٹرز کے لئے 245 پولنگ اسٹيشن بنائے گئے ہيں، جن ميں 64 پولنگ اسٹيشن کو حساس قرارديا گيا ہے.ضمني انتخاب کي وجہ سے آج ملتان ميں تعطيل ہے.
