عدالت نے سندھ حکومت کو لیکچررز کی فوری ترقی کی ہدایت کی
The Sindh High Court has directed the provincial government to promote Grade 17 and 18 lecturers within 20 days.
The Sindh Professors and Lecturers Association (SPLA) on Tuesday filed a petition against the Sindh government for not giving scales and promotion to more than 12,000 professors and lecturers, which was heard on Tuesday by SHC Judge Justice Muhammad. Ali Mazhar said.
The court warned the provincial government that if the order was not complied with, contempt of court proceedings would be instituted against the chief secretary and the secretary of the colleges.
During the hearing, the Secretary Colleges informed the court that the provincial government was in the process of formulating a policy for the promotion and time scale of the lecturers concerned.
“Give us 15 days to complete the paperwork for Grade 17 and 18 lecturers,” he said.
However, Justice Amjad Ali Sahito said lecturers were demanding promotions despite unsatisfactory quality of education.
He remarked, “Choose a college from the province and see the results of the students.
The secretary of the colleges added that while the provincial government is ready to promote the lecturers, they need to perform their duties honestly and responsibly.

عدالت نے صوبائی حکومت کو متنبہ کیا کہ اگر اس حکم پر عمل نہیں کیا گیا تو چیف سکریٹری اور کالجز کے سکریٹری کے خلاف توہین عدالت کی کارروائی کی جائے گی۔
دوران سماعت سکریٹری کالجز نے عدالت کو آگاہ کیا کہ صوبائی حکومت متعلقہ لیکچررز کے فروغ اور ٹائم اسکیل کے لئے پالیسی مرتب کرنے کے سلسلے میں ہے۔
انہوں نے کہا ، “گریڈ 17 اور 18 کے لیکچررز کے لئے کاغذی کارروائی مکمل کرنے کے لئے ہمیں پندرہ دن کی مہلت دیں۔”
تاہم ، جسٹس امجد علی سہیٹو نے کہا کہ لیکچرار تعلیم کے غیر اطمینان بخش معیار کے باوجود ترقیوں کا مطالبہ کر رہے ہیں۔
انہوں نے ریمارکس دیئے ، “صوبے سے کوئی کالج منتخب کریں اور طلباء کے نتائج دیکھیں۔
کالجز کے سکریٹری نے مزید کہا کہ جبکہ صوبائی حکومت لیکچررز کی ترقی کے لئے تیار ہے ، اس کے لئے انہیں اپنے فرائض دیانتداری اور ذمہ داری کے ساتھ انجام دینے کی ضرورت ہے۔
