The President of the Pakistani People’s Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, refuted media reports citing Sindh leader Syed Murad Ali Shah that the blockade imposed to curb the spread of Covid-19 would be lifted nationwide on Monday.
The PPP chairman, Bilawal Bhutto, went to Twitter on Friday and wrote: “Sindh chief minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has said categorically that Sindh did not end the block on Monday and we are entering the second phase of the block with some additional restrictions , especially at hotspots. “
Bilawal said in a series of tweets: “In a statement from the CM House, the Chief Minister said that some media channels gave the impression that the closure ends on Monday, which was completely wrong. CM said we are entering Phase II, which has introduced stricter hotspot controls. “
Bilawal said: “Some sectors, such as phase 2, have minor exemptions, and isolated businesses in neighborhoods are allowed to operate according to standard government-issued operating procedures.”
Added that “He [Sindh CM] categorically added that air, train and public transportation would remain closed.”

پیپلز پارٹی کے چیئرمین بلاول بھٹو نے ٹویٹر پر لکھا “وزیر اعلی سندھ سید مراد علی شاہ نے واضح طور پر کہا ہے کہ سندھ پیر کو لاک ڈاؤن ختم نہیں کررہا اور ہم کچھ اضافی پابندیوں کے ساتھ لاک ڈاؤن کے دوسرے مرحلے میں داخل ہورہے ہیں ۔
بلاول نے ٹویٹس کی ایک سیریز میں واضح کیا کہ “وزیراعلیٰ ہاؤس سے جاری ایک بیان میں ، وزیر اعلی نے کہا کہ کچھ میڈیا چینلز یہ تاثر دے رہے ہیں کہ لاک ڈاؤن پیر کے روز ختم ہورہا ہے ، جو سراسر غلط ہے۔ وزیراعلیٰ نے کہا کہ ہم مرحلہ دو میں داخل ہورہے ہیں جس کے تحت ہاٹ سپاٹ پر سخت کنٹرول شروع کیے جارہے ہیں۔
کچھ شعبوں کو معمولی چھوٹ دی جائے گی ، اور محلوں میں الگ تھلگ دکانوں کو حکومت کے جاری کردہ معیاری آپریٹنگ طریقہ کار کے تحت کام کرنے کی اجازت ہوگی”۔ انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ “انہوں نے [سندھ کے وزیراعلیٰ] نے واضح طور پر یہ کہا کہ ہوائی ، ٹرین ، اور عوامی نقل و حمل بند رہے گی۔”
