Nominations for the world’s biggest film award Oscar 2021 have been announced.
Along with Best Picture and Best Director, Manik has been nominated in ten categories and tops the list.
Father, Black Panther, Tower, Nodeland, Promising Young Women, Sound of Metal and Trial of Chicago 7 received nominations in six categories.
Emerald Fennell, director of the New Zealand International Film Festival and Promising Young Women, and Chloe Xiao became the first women to be nominated for Best Director at the Oscars.
The 93rd Academy Awards will be held on April 25 at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood and for the first time at the Union Station in Los Angeles.
The star couple, Nick Jones and Priyanka Chopra, were selected from London to announce nominations for all 23 Academy Awards categories on March 15.
It is said that this year’s event will not be attended in person on April 26.
