US Defence's remarks "unhelpful" : Sherry

(eNews.pk) - WASHINGTON: Pakistan's ambassador to the United States branded as "useless" the latest U.S. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta stab at Islamabad failure to tackle militants safe havens, saying that would make it harder for both countries to reduce their differences. Panetta, speaking in Kabul on Thursday, said that the United States was reaching the limits of his patience with Pakistan because the country has provided safe havens for insurgents fighting in neighboring Afghanistan. "It adds a touch unnecessary to the process and leaves little oxygen for those of us trying to break a stalemate," Pakistan's sent, Sherry Rehman, said in a statement.

واشنگٹن. . . .امريکا ميں پاکستان کي سفيرشيري رحمان نے کہاہے کہ شدت پسندوں کے ٹھکانوں سے نمٹنے ميں ناکامي سے متعلق امريکي وزيردفاع کابيان غيرمفيد ہے. واشنگٹن سے جاري ايک بيان ميں شيري رحمان نے واضح کيا کہ ايسے بيانات پاکستان اورامريکا کے درميان اختلافات کم کرنے کي کوششوں کومشکل بناسکتے ہيں.ان کاکہناہے کہ امريکي وزيردفاع کابيان کسي کے کام نہيں آئے گا بلکہ دونوں ملکوں کے تعلقات ميں تعطل کے خاتمے کي کوششيں کرنے والوں کيلئے حالات ناسازگاربنائيگا.گزشتہ روز ليون پنيٹانے کابل ميں کہا تھا کہ پاکستان ميں شدت پسند اپنے محفوظ ٹھکانوں سے افغانستان ميں حملے کررہے ہيں اور اس معاملے پر امريکا کے صبر کا پيمانہ لبريز ہوتا جارہاہے.
