UN Security Council banned the Haqqani network

(eNews.pk) - United Nations: The UN Security Council on Monday sentenced global sanctions against the militant Haqqani network in Afghanistan, and the main organizer of suicide attacks.




The network, which is widely associated with Pakistan, has been blamed for a series of deadly attacks in Afghanistan.
Militant group and the main organizer of the suicide attack, Qari Zakir were added to UN sanctions list of the Taliban in Afghanistan. This means that states must apply an assets freeze and travel ban against Zakir and confiscation of all assets belonging to the network, as well as to impose an arms embargo.
U.S. put the Haqqani network in terror blacklist in September.
Founded by Jalaluddin Haqqani, a CIA asset turned Al-Qaeda ally, who was close to the Pakistani intelligence network is considered the most dangerous faction of the Taliban army in Afghanistan.

اقوام متحدہ. . . اقوام متحدہ کی سلامتی کونسل نے حقانی نیٹ ورک پر پابندی لگادی ہے۔سلامتی کونسل نے حقانی نیٹ ورک پر افغانستان میں بڑے پیمانے پر حملے کر نے کا الزا م عائد کرتے ہوئے اسے طالبان کی فہرست میں شامل کرلیا ہے۔اقوام متحدہ میں امریکا کی سفیر سوسن رائس نے ایک بیان میں کہا ہے کہ حقانی نیٹ ورک کے آپریشنل کمانڈرقاری ذاکر پربھی پابندی لگادی ہے جوخود کش بم حملوں میں ملوث ہے۔سلامتی کونسل نے اقوام متحدہ کے تمام رکن ممالک میں حقانی نیٹ ورک کے ارکان اور قاری ذاکر پر سفر کی پابندی اور اثاثے منجمد کرنے کا حکم بھی دیا ہے۔امریکی محکمہ خارجہ کے مطابق کسی بھی امریکی شہری کی قاری ذاکر سے لین دین کرنے پر بھی پابندی عائد کی گئی ہے۔
