Turkish firm to go International Arbitration Court

(eNews.pk) - KARACHI: A Turkish company has decided to go to international arbitration to resolve the issue of its power plants mounted on ships detained in Pakistan, Geo news reported Tuesday.




According to reports, the company has decided Karkay file suit in the International Court of Arbitration since its two power plants mounted on ships were detained in Pakistan due to ongoing research in power project scam rental search.
Speaking to a Turkish newspaper, chief commercial officer of the company Noray Atajak said they had no choice but to go to international arbitration due to the precarious political situation in Pakistan. He said the company had made every effort to resolve the issue amicably, but to no avail.
He said the company requesting arbitration within weeks.

کراچی…ترکی کی کمپنی”کارکے“ نے رینٹل پاور کیس کی وجہ سے پاکستان میں روکے گئے اپنے دو جہازوں کی واپسی کیلئے عالمی ثالثی عدالت میں درخواست دائر کرنے کا فیصلہ کرلیا ہے۔ رینٹل پاور کیس کی تحقیقات کی وجہ سے ترک کمپنی کے دو پاور جنریشن جہاز کراچی پورٹ پر روک لیے گئے ہیں۔ ترکی کے ایک جریدے سے بات کرتے ہوئے کمپنی کی چیف کمرشل افسر نورے اتاجک کا کہنا تھا کہ پاکستان کی سیاسی صورتحال غیر یقینی ہے، کارکے نے ہر ممکن کوشش کی کہ تنازع خوشگوار انداز میں حل ہوجائے مگر ایسا نہ ہوسکا اور اب کمپنی کے پاس اس کے سوا کوئی چارہ نہیں کہ وہ عالمی عدالت سے رجوع کرے۔ ان کا کہنا تھا جہازوں کی واپسی کے لیے چند ہفتوں میں عالمی ثالثی عدالت میں درخواست دائر کر دی جائے گی۔
